  • Navigate the folder structure by clicking the little plus symbols to the left of the folder names, this way you avoid refreshing the right-hand side list view which speeds navigation.
  • When the Name column has been scrolled off to one-side of the list view, hold down the spacebar to select or right-click a document.
  • Use Favourites to aid navigation to your most frequently accessed projects and/or folders.
  • To see any configuration changes, you need to File > Shutdown Cabinet Explorer and reopen it. Clicking the red cross in the top right-hand corner only closes the Cabinet Explorer window, it does not shutdown the application.
  • At busy times your document may be in a substantial queue or if your document has experienced an issue you should be notified by email. If you believe there is an issue and you have not received an email which enables you to resolve the situation yourself, please contact your Cabinet support.

There are a number of reasons why this may occur;

  • The document is not in an editable Stage.
  • The document is Checked Out to someone else.
  • The document is Pending a workflow action.
  • You do not have edit permission in that folder.

There are a number of reasons why this may occur;

  • The assigned Folder Type has no templates configured.
  • The ‘Documents can be created in this folder’ option is not ticked.
  • You do not have create permission in that folder.

There are a number of reasons why this may occur;

  • You have added them to the Context but not to the relevant Instance or Folder.
  • The users do not have workflow permission in that folder.
